Question: Sticky secretion after Sex

Tonight we tried to have sex (I still think it is too soon to have it nono ), though not 100% as strong as pre-op, my husband still managed to have an usable erection. After the dry orgasm, there is some sticky fluid at the tip of the little brother. It is definitely not urine nor semen. Is it normal ?

We will see the urologist tomorrow to review the @6 weeks PSA reading and the PET scan result. Hope that it will be a good report.

Yep. It most likely is normal. The stuff is from the Cowper's gland that supplies the prelube.
Most guys don't even know they have one. Heck, I was 56 when first I heard about it. Unfortunately I left mine in a hospital hazardous waste bucket.

Congratulations! It sounds like you are well on the way to recovery.

Jeff's answer is correct. With some surgeries, that gland is removed, and with other's it's left intact. Mine was, and I experience what you describe each time during sex. Very normal, we are just not use to seeing it by itself, because normally it's mixed with the ejaculate. I too, didn't even know it existed until I asked my uro months after my operation.

Winnie - try "Mr Pee Wee" and maybe bertb will be good with that.

But guys get "wet" in a similar manner for similar reasons that women do...

I think "Big Daddy" works even better. Anything with "big", "bear", or "monster" in the title appeases us guys. One of the guys here on another post called himself "hung like a bear hamster".

I still have my Cowper's gland as well, and have the same effect that you described.
Congrats that your hubby is recovering so well after surgery! Usable erections, especially fairly early after surgery, are a very good sign.

All normal as others have said. Provides just a little consolation to have a little 'lube'! Certainly a good sign to have a useable response so soon after the RALP. The overall recovery curve can be over two years!

I have the same thing just before and after sex. As others have said its from the Coupers gland.
Personally I like "normalcy" :-)
Keep working with your husband and the progress will hopefully continue. My wife and I started about the same time after surgery and things are virtually the same after RP as before.

Yes I noticed I still had that "fluid" in my erections. Guess mine was left in too.
