Article suggests long-term diet can affect epigenetic expression to impact cancer spread. (Does not suggest cure.)

So, what are the "40 plant-based compounds"?
Just curious... I saw some of them listed...

That's a tough question. I followed the link to the journal abstract which was written by a professor of pharmacy. The journal article costs $40 and leads to other journal articles that cost money. Am not willing to buy these articles. Am thinking the book "Anticancer" covers some of these.
The article mentioned "amino acids [protein], vitamin D, ethanol, ginseng extract, the tomato carotenoid lyc
opene, the turmeric component curcumin, pomegranate juice, fish oil and others affecting gene expression in breast, colorectal, prostate, skin, lung and other cancers." I don't believe ginseng extract would help prostate cancer.
I believe from my reading you could add green tea, broccoli, bok choy, cabbage, garlic, ginger, berries , oregano and basil. Milk thistle, mushroom and quercetin also.
A lot of research is going on right now about
epigenetics (how genes have on and off switches and what substances affect gene expression. The article did not suggest a cure using these foods.

The diet information is consistent witht he dietary advice from Scholz, Ornish, Moyad, Myers, and others. That is, that land animal fat fosters prostate cancer growth. This includes land animal meat, poultry fat, dairy (fat from land animals), and egg yolks (poultry fat).
The basis of this is found in research that Myers did in his cancer research days when he identified that arachidonic acid (fatty acid from land animals and poultry) converted into the hormone 5-HETE that fosters prostate cancer development, growth, and spread. As I understand, when you meet with Myers one of the first things he addresses is diet.
