David,

Congratulations on those test results, sir.  You dodged a very big bullet there.

Regarding the symptoms you've been experiencing (loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal pain), those symptoms sound an awful lot like Crohn's disease.  Has that been ruled out?

So glad to hear that pancreatic issues are ruled out. Adding thanks for this to the prayers that this be something that can be treated and bring you some relief.

Hi David,

It's good to hear some positive news from your camp. Hopefully this is a sign that things are finally turning around for you and that more good news is to follow. Wishing you all the best and enjoy your forthcoming cruise. At least you won't have to hold back on all the good food they offer on those ships tongue .

David, this is truly wonderful news...you deserve a break and more breaks......again you might want to consider adhesions...which can caused by surgery and very difficult to detect since they do not show on any type of blood test, scan or xray.....usually by process of elimination.....I know all about this.

Fabulous news, David! Now for the appetite and weight loss problem to resolve itself, as many mysterious ailments often do in time. Perhaps the cruise, or just relief from the anxiety of waiting for the test results, or both, will be the trigger for that resolution. In any case, we'll take good news wherever we can get it!

So happy to hear the good news. Have beeen praying for you. You have been on my mind constantly. I don't know if the possibily of celiac disease (gluten intolerance) has come to mind as many folks lose lots of weight as well as pain with it. My husband was diagnosed 10 years ago and suffered with it for years before he was finally diagnosed. Many others had indicated that they had lost lots of weight. Just an idea. Have a wonderful trip.

Great news David --- I am so pleased. A break has finally come your way and it is richly deserved. Cruising will be all the better for the great news so live it up. I hope to see that they get to the bottom of the loss of weight problem when you return.

Huge sigh of relief. I am glad it wasn't pancreatic cancer. My sister-in-law died of that and it is a monster.

Just got home from a very long day for me. So many responses, all appreciated, all welcomed. Starting a new thread - latest meeting with oncologist about weight issue - afraid it would get lost in here please respond to new thread if you wish.
