Info from Dr. Strum

Hi All At last weekend's PCRI conference, Dr. Strum apparently got far more questions than he could answer (at the conference and via email), so he answered many in writing, and has posted those answers to a dropbox account. I'm only partway through the first file, but am findly it hugely helpful so wanted to share with the PC wonks on this board here's the link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mai9nr8w62zwaeu/xiHO-btSTR/DB02013   This man must be one incredibly caring person, to make the time to answer the questions (and in fact to solicit more questions -- about a week earlier, I got an email from someone in his office asking what questions patients have about ADT, so he could make sure to cover as many as possible...note my husband isn't his patient, nor was I registered for the conference -- in other words, this dude is pretty inclusive in his input-gathering).   It makes me wish all the more that I'd been able to go to that conference, as his info is both answering questions and teaching me new stuff but also raising even more questions   happy heavy reading

I also found interesting that Dr.Strum believes in Metformin, a diabetic drug that some have claimed has PC activity, and Dr.Myers does not. Along the same line, it seems that Dr.Strum believes that reducing glucose intake can help PC patients, while Dr.Myers has said repeatedly that he cannot find proof in scientific literature that sugar fuels PC...
