Claritan before chemo Neulasta

Has anyone done this - taking Claritan before chemo and/or Neulasta - heard about it, tried it, know anything about it...?

We received this information from a nurse who had been battling breast cancer, than later from one of my husband's chemo nurses near the end of his Taxotere infusions. Also came up with another breast cancer fighter at a talk at the Wellness Center; however, the chemo nurse talking had not heard of it. He has been using it with the Jevtana (Cabazitaxel). His flu like aches have been diminished greatly to near zero.

Some of you well connected to experts might know more, but it's more in the palliative care area; which technically what all this journey is for us now.

Thanks for responding SC. My husband had terrible flu-like pains from the Neulasta when on Taxotere. Some of his cancer buddies still claim he got off easy. They were not able to work and at times bedridden. So far, since he started the Jevtana and using the Claritan, he can feel slight ache, but nothing like before. I did try to research it some. It seems to be mainly anecdotal. The suggestion seems to be to take it with the Ibuprofen/Motrin. We don't know if its the change of chemo type or its working, but not taking the chance.

Thanks. Handling much better than Taxotere, but not sure it's effective yet. Taxotere was effective immediately for 8 sessions. PSA plateaued so far after 4th treatment, but that is certainly better than the alternative. Like your results so far.
