In another thread, hammer44 posted for the first time saying:

At age 54 in Feb 1992, I was diagnose with prostate cancel with a psa reading of 7.31.
I have a radical prostatectomy because the only other option at that time was radiation,
I read that when the seed was planted they sometime they put them is the badder by
mistake. afterward , I had some urinary incontinance which didn't amount to much only
leak when I laugh , cough , or sneeze . Whichever surgery you and your husband chose ,
read up on the side effect so that you will know what to expect . I am now 74 year old with a psa reading of 0.001.

Hammer44, What a great story. Thanks for posting this give so many guys hope where they first get this news of C. Sounds like you make the right choice for yourlsef, congrats.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the welcome.
There a excellence doctor by the name of Allen Morey who work at UT Southwest Medical Center , Texas.
He done my Redical Prostatectomy in 1992. and install my penile implant in 1993 . he was doing his residency
at Tripler Army Medical Center , HI .

Here is something to pass on, I read article o PC a few years back and it stated that if your mother brother
had pc that your all son should start PSA testing around 35 years old . What brought this to mind was that a member at age 47 was diagnose with PC . I found out later I had an uncle who had PC so please this infromation on.
