Just looked down and noticed that I was hitting my 17,000th post at HW.  Never would have imagined after 4 plus years, but it is what it is.

After reading C.C.'s update tonight, and re-visiting her painful thread, I hereby dedicate this milestone post

to C.C., her husband, and her family.

He has been fighting the good fight, and I know the toll it must be taking on you as his wife, and on your entire family.  Sometimes, despite the best of courage and fight, having the best of hope, some simply don't make it.  Such is the brutality of life with cancer.

I admire your strength and grace, and you will still be in my prayers and hope.

Hoping the hospice is keeping your husband out of any pain as he continues to fight and endure this battle.

cc and her family are going through a very difficult time and I'm sure that the love and support she receives from her fellow HWers is a source of comfort. While some may attempt to cheapen David's post and its intention, I know David and it comes from his heart which makes him the better person.

Nice going, David. I know that most here are concerned for cc and her family and send them their love and support. Lets all remember that there but for the grace of God...

Very well said, as always. With all the issues you and your wife are having, your still taking the time to try and help and support others is very comforting, knowing that good people are still around. I am dissapointed that we have some members who have to make themselves feel better by putting down those who are only offering the best to others. Wish they woud grow up and get a life! Hope the appointment today will find the issue with your wife's back pain, and led to getting her back to normal.

David - as I have said so many times before in my limited amount of time here thus far, I admire your courage; with what you and your wife are and have gone through you continue to be on this site to offer your experience, knowledge, comfort and yes, pain. Thank you for being a major force here - my best to you and your family and of course C.C.'s as well.

Congratulations on this latest milestone - that was achieved so unselfishly. . . .

Time for those that believe in the spirit of support to reach out to C.C. who has been earmarked in this mileston post - they are in need of our help and support.
