I note the following at the end of the article:

Dr Iain Frame, director of research at Prostate Cancer UK, said: ‘We cannot be certain whether any particular dietary pattern has a significant impact on a man’s risk of getting prostate cancer but it is highly unlikely that any single food source will lead to an increased chance of developing the disease.I also agree with one of the comments that the story is misleading and poorly written, as the research would seem to suggest it is the sugar/carbohydrates not the fizz that might be the problem and I thought it was fairly well known that sugar may feed cancers.
