I am looking forward to a mini-GFMPH gathering with Worried Guy Jeff and his not-so-worried wife Barb next week - Thursday, Dec 6 and Friday, Dec 7.
We get to show off the wonderful advantages of living in a rural small town of 74k - it's actually 78k now, but they forgot where they put the paint to redo the numbers. MInd you, we are a booming metropolis compared to the sleepy hollow of Hilton, New York (5,894 (2011) - give or take a few woodland creatures.
We have warned the squirrels to be on their best behaviour
. The chipmunks could not be reached for comment.
We will be celebrating this mini-gathering by dining at Red Lobster ( I get a discount - and it's Crabfest month!)
And will be showing Jeff and Barb my artwork on display at our hospital and maybe even do some geocaching ( two spots are right near our home!)
Looking forward to seeing them again - an early Christmas present - oops! - Channukah gift (sunset Dec 8)
-maybe redo a Driedel with PCa ribbon on one side
anticipation hugs,
Bronson

I'm having a mini party next weekend two.
My older bro and his family are coming in from Florida. Haven't seen them in 10-12 years. The kids are 21 and 16 now....

Mr and Mrs Worried showed up last night -and we had a great time chatting - went out to Red Lobster for dinner - a good time was had by all - some more chatting and sharing stories until midnight ... and off to sleep....
-today (friday) is booked solid with visiting Costco - a couple of thrift stores, some geocaching for Worried Guy, a drive around town - seeing my artwork exhibition at the local hospital and then a home cooked free-range chicken dinner...
-such a delight to have this mini- GFMPH - a great pick me up -
:)
hugs,
Bronson

We've been smiling since we arrived last night. Bronson and Steve are making us so comfortable we might never leave!
The sightseeing is fantastic. There are so many things to learn about
and appreciate. Everywhere you look there is art, culture and history. And that's just in their house! It's wonderful!
Today we will venture out to a foreign store CostCo (our first time) and take Bronson and Steve Geocaching (their first time) and then hopefully visit a local GoodWill (definitely not the first time for any of us).
I've been told there are black squirrels here. I will try to control myself.
Yep... this is definitely GFMPH!
Hospitable hugs,
Jeff

wow - we had such a fun day and night - visiting the thrift shops , Chinese Buffet for lunch , Costco ( with Jeff nibbling at samples and even more samples ), testosterone raising fun at the Restore ( a shop of recycled building stuff which raises money for Habitat for Humanity buildings), busying a Lotto-Max ticket, geocaching ( even though someone had removed the goodies boxes), and free range chicken dinner, limp richard fine wine after dinner and great conversations .. oh yes, and watching the Canadian Pickers episode ... seeing and spending time with your PCa brother (and sister) is GFMPH !!!
happy hugs,
Bronson

We had such a great time! Both of us were smiling the whole time! It wasa pleasure being surrounded by such a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
I must add one caveat: If you any of you suffer from pupaphobia, you might want to rethink a visit here. They don't call Bronson "The Prince of Puppets" for nothing! Yikes! There are so many different ones! He even has a Burlesque puppet that was actually pretty hot.
Bronson's activity list above was pretty good but he forgot (or was too modest) to mention one important item. His works were being shown at the local hospital's art gallery hallway. Truly fantastic and creative landscape scenes on wood. One woman was fawning all over him when she found out he was the artist. He even gave out autographs! Who knew!
Right now we are in Guelph (I think) I heard that the Canadian Government does not let Americans leave the country without visiting an IKEA store. In fact they recently routed all foreign QEW traffic right through the parking lot, loaded with speed bumps timed to shake your wallet right out of your pants.
We made our obligatory stop, used the bathroom facilities and ate the Swedish meat ball combination dinner that is sold at such a low price it is irresistible. Avoid the gravy! I'm sure it is laced with something that induces people to purchase items that look handy but will most likely be found still wrapped in the original packaging during the estate sale that follows the owner's inevitable demise.
Thank you Bronson and Steve for a wonderful visit.
Happy Hugs!

You are more than welcome Jeff and Barb - you two are a delight - it was just like Jeff described that as part of the GFMPH/HW family - you just want to hang and relax with friends/family. We did none of the touristy things and they ( and us too) had a grand time together.
- this mini-GFMPH ( Thursday evening to Sat morning) was a g*dsend with the "disturbing news" I received just hours before they arrived from my G.P. Doctor
a)the Catscan says I still have a kidney stone ( the ultra sound the week before said it was gone) - and it's moving towards the bladder
b) I have gall stones ( 10% of men have gall stones and 20% of women have gall stones) - no mention of that from the prior catscan during the kidney stone crisis in October ( they used dye to see if the trauma was due to appendicitis - so they should have seen the gall stones back then.
c) .. and the doctor read the latest PSA as 0.10 (with no < less than sign mentioned) - I told him I was not pleased having the test at a different clinic that usual and not happy with the numbers
-
so I am meeting my G.P.Doctor on Monday in Toronto ( via a 2 hour bus ride) to discuss my bloodwork and read the actual report
- if there is no < less than sign in the report I will be having them at the clinic redo my PSA there in Toronto as well as a PSA at my regular clinic in Lindsay, Ontario ( a 45 minute car drive the other way on my next day off from work)....
-so Jeff and Barb were a delightful diversion -
many thanks
hugs,
Bronson
...........
p.s. Wishing all our Jewish members of the HW family a very Happy Channukah and Holiday Season.
