One year

Today my wife and I did our annual New Year's day hike up in the hills. It was clear, cold and sunny day. From the top of the hill we could see all the way to the ocean but the haze kept us from see too far. Still it was a good day to be alive and enjoying nature.

It also occurred to me that it is just over one year since my DX and just short of year that I started treatment. So far my treatment choice is working and I have hope that one treatment is all I need.

This will also be my 1000 post on this forum. I never thought I'd hang around any place long enough to do something like that. This place has been a great help to me and I hope that I've been some help to someone (or at least mostly harmless).

Thanks to everyone who participates here and now I am looking forward to more living and less worrying about what might happen.

Andrew, I agree with you, This is a great place. I have had so few problems but have made so many friends here that I hang around with them. I have given some advise but most of the time I wold like to think I am just here for support. Happy New Year.

Nice post, Andrew. A hike in the hills on New Year's Day beats the heck out of sitting in front of the TV all day watching Midwest teams (with the exception of Northwestern) get their butts kicked in bowl games!
