That is great. Had been waiting for an update. Guess not a good update on WC yet. That part is ridiculous. Do agree with you and hope she doesn't overdue. Good job taking care of you - Five star rating!!

David, I am so happy to hear this news!  Would rehab at a center (or hospital) be better for documentation with Workers Comp?  Wishing her the very best and NO surprises for her back.

well, she is gone. she told me good bye around 8 this morning, so its off to work for her. least she only has to work today, friday, then have the weekend off to rest. then next week, see how she does on a full work week.

That is really, really good news.  The two of you just have to get a break eventually, and maybe her good health is one of those times.  I get about as upset at my wife's occasional illnesses as my own.  Sounds like you are the same.  Better times to you both for 2013!

thanks, last report from her - she doing well at work. i asked her not to over do things that first day back, but she is stubborn like that. least she will have the weekend to rest up before her first full week at work

Thanks, Michael. Yes, it was the longest 2 plus months I can possibly remember, but we toughed it out, and here to tell the story. She made work all day fine, tired of course, but it is a Friday and she has all weekend to rest. Next week will be her first full week in a long time, Ive told her to pace herself the best she can. She has been through a lot, and don't want to see her have some kind of relaspe.

As that good news happened this morning, my brother called, and my mother was admitted through the ER by my house late last night. She had been prepping for a colonsocpy that was suppose to be today, and ended up passing out, hitting her arm bad, and getting wedged between the toliet and the vanity.

Her injuries aren't that bad, but there is some underlying issue they are concerned about. They were going to do a MRI, but couldn't because she was too dehydrated to put in the contrasting agent. She will be in the hospital till at least Sunday.

I saw here this morning, and this evening, she didn't look or sound real good. She is 85, only 4' 11" and 89 lbs, has COPD, a stroke 3 years ago, a quad bypass 10 years ago. Will have to see what the tests show.

2013 has to be better, i keep telling myself that. she did fine at work, didn't seem any more tired than a normal workday. next week, though, will have to see how she does pulling 40 or more hours though.

i will continue my duties as the designated house slave, so that when she comes home, she doesnt have to deal with any domestic duties. Her wine glass was full and waiting, dinner was on the stove, and her bed covers pulled back. just like she likes it, lol.

thanks, my mom is a difficult one to deal with - totally non compliant with her doctors and her meds, we are fearful she will have a bad accident or make a fatal med mistake, yet she refuses to consider moving to an assisted living center (money is no issue for her, or insurance). she lives alone in a home on 2 1/2 acres in the country. my brother is her medical power of attorney, and he has had no luck of convincing her either.
