There is even a 6 month version of Lupron now. I have done 3, 4, and 6 at times. I have recently settled on 3 months since Dr. Lam recommended blood work every 3 months to check how my liver was handling Casodex. My rump soreness has varied from mild soreness for a couple of days to very sore for 5 days. I was told to stand on the opposite leg for the injection. I now do that and perhaps it helps. The recent injections have caused only mild tenderness.

I didn't ask about which hip. I assume whichever one I choose will be sore for a bit?

mine never was.  i think there is a right way and a wrong way to give lupron shots.  the gal that gave me mine would roll the syringe in her hands for a minute or so and Sloooowly inject the lupron.  i hate shots but the three she gave me never hurt during or after.

Glad to hear all the good news!  Who doesn't love a reprieve?

Thanks too for all the Scholz/Lam info -- very useful. We have our team in place for now but the one thing I know is that life and needs change, and Scholz/Lam was the top of my "next plan" list

The nurse that usually gave my husband his Lupron injection also recommended he take his weight off of one leg during the injection. The recent nurse said she didn't believe it really made a difference.

I suggested that he go ahead and stand like an egret, as it had proven to be no harm no "fowl." :)

Yes, he still puts up with me. :)
