Completing one year

Tomorrow is my birthday. It's stranger this year. Not only am I a year older but also one year after my IGRT treatment. I started treatment 7 days before my birthday - oddly enough that's my wife's birthday. Strange gift for her - me getting radiation treatment. It's been a tough year, radiation, PC and other health issues.

I'll say that I haven't enjoyed any of that bad stuff. It has motivated me to do a few things I'd been putting off, like writing more and doing more woodworking. For those two things I've had a great year. I've been able to improve my skill on both fronts. It's a fretwork clock I cut on my scroll saw. It is a gift for a grandson.

Don't think I would have done something like it without the realization of how limited my time on this planet could be and how it important it is to do the important stuff first (sounds redundant).

I am very happy I found this forum. Don't know how I would have learned all the info on PC with you folks. Thanks for being here.

For the year ahead I am hoping for better health, low PSA, keeping up my writing, working in the shop and likely will still be checking in here with the little wisdom I have:

Just live and enjoy life.

Your clock is beautiful! Reminds me of something one might see in a baroque palace from the European Renaissance.

I really don't. The trick is not to show people what lines you were planning to cut - just show what really came off the saw...
