Do the kegels. My uro said to cut off the stream during peeing, which I did for 2 months almost everytime I peed prior to my surgery. I was wet one night after the catheter was out, until I realized the feeling of needing to pee meant I needed to get up and go. It was 2 times a night for a couple weeks but it stopped. No problem during the day, except farts. Beware of the fart! Laughing, coughing, sneezing, farting were my times where I needed to be aware of drips. I was and they stopped after a couple weeks.
All the other exercise... do it. Don't stop. They don't cut thru abdominal tissue, they poke thru it with the robotic. Even the
open, like I had, the uro just moved the muscles and did his job. I wish I had stayed more active up to surgery.
The ed is the only issue for me and it's not as bad as some people's has been. I'm 15 months out of
open RP. Zeros. The ed is improving and with meds it's almost as it was...
Good luck. Be confident and trust the people doing your work to be the experts you're sure they are.
edit... I'm 43, btw. Had the surgery @ 42 at Hopkins.
GO RAVENS!!!
