For those of you who might be interested, I received a flyer in the mail for a free workshop called, Update on “Metastatic Prostate Cancer: What’s New?” put on by CancerCare.

The workshop is on Friday February 8 from 1:30 – 2:30 pm eastern. You can participate by listening by phone or via live streaming on the internet.

Thanks for the info. With a PSA of 36 at last test, this is something I probably need to know more about in the future.

Dave & Sonny,
Double "darn"..I realize that I'm intruding, but when I see you 2 marching to your own drummer with rising psa's I am concerned..I've followed Purg's comments on his QOL many times but haven't heard Sonny's..I assume that both of you will forgo ADT until (if) mets occur..ADT is not irreversible
so why not take a 3 month shot of say lupron or delerix to see if it works..I realize that a low psa is not a guarantee that mets will not occur but it's a good option or possibility.
Maybe there are other men on this forum who have rising psa's and have not tried ADT but I haven't seen any posts..I want you both to die of a heart attack when you are in your 90's!! I wish you both the best and want to hear about Sonny enjoying his mediterranean diet of craddadies and cold beer in the future..Again, I'm sorry to butt in, but thought that you both should know that ADT isn't all that bad for QOL--the only major effect is ED..Thanks for listening!!
