Was having some constant pain throughout the uretha, some bladder spasams, spongy feeling when I set down. No fever, but called the urologist. They suggested trying the AZO over-the-counter tablets, can take 3 per day and see if that helped. They did seem to help, but the effects wear off pretty quickly. Anyone else had experience with them? I'm going in Monday morning to double check to ensure I don't have an infection, but no fever. Catheter's been out a week now, surgery was 3 weeks ago. Walked 40 minutes on the treadmill today and did small chores around the house. Maybe just doing too much now? Art

I took this stuff for a while to help with temporary urinary burning after Proton Therapy (I had a prescription which, I think, was merely a higher dose than the OTC). It helped a little, but was not a magic bullet.

Be prepared for bright orange urine & stained underwear.
