CNN.com is today running a history of Viagra. The article itself is primarily a chronology of the pill's development and acceptance into the popular culture and into medicine.
Unfortunately, nowhere does the article mention the drug's benefit for men stuggling to regain sexual function and intimacy after prostate cancer treatment. The comment section clearly shows that people are generally ignorant of the use of ED drugs to help men affected by prostate cancer.
I added a comment trying to explain that Viagra and similar drugs are not simply "recreational" in nature, but I sure wish there were some way to acquaint the public with the fact that Viagra has some very serious, very legitimate uses for quite a few men as young as in their 40's and 50's. Maybe then insurance companies would be more generous in underwriting its use.
