Hi Chris, not so good but you have such a positive attitude.
I have been looking for help/support on the internet for the last month since my biopsy results, with others who have a really high PSA level and really struggled with my search, until finally found this site & forum. Looks like lots of good support here.

My PSA score was 246, Doctor said he'd never had anyone with such a high score and especially at my age (45) after DRE confirmed cancer, tumours on both sides of prostate, Gleason score is 7, now awaiting bone and MRI scan results.

Is been a bit of a shock, going to docs one week with what I thought was a urine infection, to have urine and blood tests taken, and being taken in for biopsy within a week and being told that I had a serious risk of having Prostate cancer, to having it confirmed a couple of weeks later.

total bummer man. I can relate. Diagnosed age 42. Psa 3216.14. Gleason 7 lung mets bone mets lymph mets and given a year to live. Its been 7 years. I turn 50 in 8 months. Cancer sucks but how you face it can make it way better or way worse. This diagnosis is the end of life as you know it for a while but nott the end of life. As dumb as this sounds getting cancer ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me. We are here for you. regards.....Todd

Ted - sorry you need to be here talking to us but it's a good place to be.

Hang in there, even with that number there are treatments.

It is a heck of a shock. We're here if you have questions or need to vent.

Sorry you have to be here but the fact that you are is a good one !This forum helped me the most of all other contacts I had since my cloudy days as your in. The fact that I never even got a brochure a phone # anything from the URO to deal with the mental part of PC is much to common so at least you have us ,so feel free to ask anything , there are some very good posts about everything .Hope we can help you !

thank you all for the great support, its good to hear all the varied journeys your paths have taken

bone scan and MRI scans back and show spread to lymph nodes

started on hormone treatment, for 3 months
to be followed by 3 months of radiotherapy

blood test before hormone treatment shows PSA at 244

hormone treatment seems okay so far, just not sure of the radiotherapy

I'm still working a full working week just now - I feel fine just now

Sorry you ended up here, like this. I just wanted to drop in to give you some encouragement. See my stats.
I've been on ADT since Oct and have been tolerating it very well. Hot flashes only bothered me in Nov and then went away to almost nothing. The low sex drive is a drag though. Really hard to get motivated. And I try to avoid sappy movies.
As for my Srt , it is still early, but that didn't bother me at all either. The worse part for me was the daily traffic and parking.
As for how I feel... I'm still me! Nothing has changed in most respects.
