Hey Doug,
Your case sounds exactly like mine did.
-Initial PSA 5.6
-Gleason 3+4=7
-Right lobe involved
-Nerves spared on one side
-T1c
-I had a rock star surgeon also, Benjamin Lee, with 950 Da Vincis behind him and a world class oncologist in Oliver Sartor.
I also had the bone and Cat scans which were clean as a whistle as I'm sure yours will be. Worst part of the scans is the 2 bottles of nasty stuff you have drink and the necessity to lie very still for 45 minutes under the machine.
I got my diagnosis on Aug. 4, 2011 and had the Da Vinci on Sept. 6. Since then (18 months) my PSA results have been undetectable (<0.01) and according to the docs they should remain that way for good. As usual, they can't give any of us a 100% guarantee. So, bottom line, I found out I had it and then got rid of it in just about a month.
Good luck with the surgery.
Steve
