Today was fantastic. 19 guys in Louisiana feasting on Cajun food, great drink, and deserts that would just knock your socks off. The weather was a bit cool had to keep a fire in the pit all day long. Something to be said for sitting around a fire. I think we had 10 states represented and Canada. Many of the lady friends hace decided to attend as well. All together we were right at 40 people for dinner.
Thanks to each of you that chose to attend. You are the reason that these gatherings are sooooooo goooood.

For those of you have met me, know I will not go anywhere near seafood. Cant even eat a steak in a seafood restaurant.
Holy crap! I ate fried catfish and shrimp last night-And enjoyed it!!! I woke up this morning and thought I dreamed it, but nope, it really happened. Jeff, Sonny and Kbota did an awesome job preparing last nights feast and then 142's very informative scotch tasting was a blast. It took him 2 years to gather the scotch and some you can not buy, no matter how deep your pockets are.
Been having a great time and really enjoyed meeting some members for the first time. There is supposed to be great weather the next few days and I am really looking forward to today's planned activities-most can't be shared on the internet ;)
Cajun Jeff's neighbors are very understanding.
Hope everyone is doing fine and thinking about
those who could not make it.
Wishing Goodlife a speedy recovery.

Part II was just as good as part I. I met some great guys and Gals. Sorry I couldn't stay for the Cochon de lait and Crawfish boil.
Thanks for listening to me and looking foreword to next year. Hopefully we can stay longer. God Bless you all, Bertb
