I usually say stuff like this privately, but the hospitality, generosity, graciousness, and kindly spirit shown by Mr. and Mrs. Cajun Jeff this weekend were so wonderful that this one has to be public. The work and effort and expense they expended for the rest of us were spectacular. The brother-in-law and other pig roasters were magnificent! (I hope they didn't mind me bugging them.) Neal's mudbugs were the best ever - even the pig roasters bragged on 'em. High quality human beings all. Every one of them.
A special word about Cajun Jeff's brother. Great guy and not just 'cause he taught me how to suck a crawdad's head.
Then there is 142. I didn't know how much I didn't know about scotch. Single malt scotch. Thank you sir, it was a special education. In addition, it was really, really cool. Yum.
To all of you great guys and gals I spoke with: I think the world of you. Courageous, helpful, kind, decent, and funny as can be. I have not laughed so hard in recent memory. You all are nuts! For which I am thankful. Did I mention that you are nuts crmetalman?
I am weeping as I write this. Not in sorrow, but in gratitude.
Bill
PS. What will happen in New York in September? The pressure is on!
