Hey Jeff,

N.O. was great. Lot's to do and see. We stayed at the french quarter RV park right downtown. A few GFMPH participants stayed there just before the gathering. Nice place. Doreen and I must have walked at least 10 miles each day. Stopped in and listened to many bands and talked to a bunch of musicians...incredible talent there. Many were just getting in for the coming weekend Jazz fest.

Ate at a couple places recommended by Jeff and Pat. The beignets were fantastic, and Doreen tried the crawfish, although mixed in pasta -she didn't have to peel or remove the heads, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Would have liked to try a Hurricane cocktail, but we were travelling the next day and rethought that decision....everything was mmmmmmmmmmmm. Can't wait to return. Thank you so much for your hospitality, couldn't have asked for more.

What a great trip! As we are travelling back, can't help but think about all the people and faces we saw again/met and the GFMPH bonds.

That is right it is "Jazz Fest". You should Google it and look at the line up.

Lots of walking,eating and drinking to do in New Orleans.We were at a tavern in the French Quarters waiting for our tab when the bartender asked us if we'd like a "drink to go",never heard that in Philly;)

I have to say every GFMPH gathering is so much Gooderest since the last gooderest one and this was the most gooderest one so far. I often say the only good thing that came from my PC was this forum and friendships made at the GFMPH gatherings. Dianne and I have made so many great friends and our lives are so much more fulfilled because of the great life time friendships made here. I feel so honored to include people like Cajun Jeff and Pat as friends, and they are the ultimate in Southern Hospitality. 

For those of you on the fence about attending one of our gatherings in the future just talk to someone who has been there, I guarantee it can change your lives all for the good. We have the Yankee style gathering in Rochester in September, the GFMPH cruise from New Orleans in Dec and the new Florida Style gathering in April 2014. You do not need an invitation to attend just let us know you will be there.

BTW Cmetalman I thought you were going to change your screen name after the gathering?
