I thought to mention this on Tex Lbs thread, but see it's been locked...

And I'm so glad this is anonymous!! lol!!!!

Hubby just had his first orgasm! No erection, but had 'enough' penetration.

He said it was very intense, his ears were ringing!  lol!!!

And absolutely no pain, but was a bit aware of his stomach muscles.

His first words, after "I love you", were "I didn't think this would ever happen again!"  I only had tears of joy for him. 

And he said it was definitely an attitude boost!  ;)  This wasn't planned, a 'spur of the moment thing', and we both couldn't be happier!  :)

His urologist/surgeon never specified a time to begin/try, only said "let's work on continence first" - but also gave him 90 day supply of daily Cialis 5mg.

Serenity, congratulations...bet the two of you are feeling on the top of the world right now! Amazing how something so simple...and something we used to take for granted...can mean so much.

that's great.

When urologists explain dry orgasms to us after telling us we have cancer we rarely know what to make of it. Many of us report orgasms that are even more intense than pre surgery. It's definitely one less thing to worry about.

Congratulations,

Having that happen this early in your journey is a really good sign in my book.  I completely understand what a special moment this is for both of you.

We sure didn't expect this for quite some time!!

I also wanted others to know, contrary from what I've read in some other posts, that he had absolutely zero pain in any area. He did feel just a bit in his stomach muscles, around his belly button incision, but it's also been 3 weeks since our last time too....

He just said he has that Madonna song - Like A Virgin going in his head now, cause he joked earlier that he had been one again. lol!!!

And a word of warning - careful where you put your depends during the act! ;) Our almost 2 yr old 'puppy' grabbed it, had it out in the living room, tearing it to shreds while we were busy.... lol!!!!

That is wonderful news and a big moment and so happy for the both of you. You guys sound like you have a really great marriage. I couldn't be happier for you guys.

Congrats, that is amazing at less than 3 weeks. I was told not to even look at it for at least 4 weeks! tongue

At least now you know how to get some privacy from your puppy!

..Had surgery on the 8th, catheter out on the 16th. Started post operation 5mg of Cyalis just yesterday felt some tingling but nothing more. That's all I expected anyways so I was ok with that. Me and my understanding wife started fooling a bit with what we call rehabilitation play time a few days ago. A bit leaky sill but hey we are both good sports so what the heck. Last night we were fooling a bit and I went for the big "O" and it was funny. No pain, I was paying attention as we proceeded and just went for it. It was a different feeling than before, a bit funny, or maybe I was just happy. It was soft and tinggely no sign of an erection and that's ok, was not looking for it anyways its to early.
There was slight penetration soft and required help from my wife and then there it was. When I was done the wife looked at me as to say "really??" It was hilarious.. Just adding this to help others and stay truthful in my experience. By reading the posts I learn so much and get inspiration to carry on. I hope to help the next..

Ahhh Nick - I love it!!! :) :)
Hubby and I just had joyous laughter (me with tears of joy streaming down my face too) after our first time too!
Neither of us knew one didn't 'have' to have an erection to have intercourse!
And then - Surprise!! ;)

It seems like everything I've read stated most likely no erections for 18 months+ or so - so we took that to mean no sex too! We never knew a partial one is 'good enough', and works just fine!
Although I think the ability to joyously laugh sometimes at Life's situations comes in handy.... ;)

Congrats to you both ! I'm at six weeks and I still feel muscle pull in my belly. It's also bigger on the left than on the right side and seems to have a indent on the left. I thought it was a hernia, but was told it wasnt. Has anyone else experienced this ?

..Donald.. I have no pain just a bit of soreness, it is very tolerable, it is the incontinence that is maddening to me. I do have some small lumps I think they are internal stitches but I did think small hernia also, but I have not asked the doctor yet.
