I received a fabulous surprise tonight. My cell phone rang it showed Goodlife's caller ID.
It was Dick calling to give us a personal update. He sounded fantastic and in great spirits. Of course right away he told me that rehab sux. If you know him personally, he is not one that wants to spend too much time sitting around and doing nothing. Even with the daily grind of the rehab he sounded bored with the whole thing.
He said that he is on target for release from the facility on the 21st. Then he is scheduled for home rehab therapy and visits for 4 weeks.
He said that he is no pain. He said that he occasionally takes something during the day, but it just a precaution against them doing something to him that hurts.
His biggest complaint is that he is tired of having to train the rehab therapists. Seems he is not seeing many of them twice. He told me that he had a conversation with the rehab manager and said he is finished training all of them now and it would be nice if some of them would work full time and make repeat visits. He thinks he has trained them enough.
He is already talking about
being at GFMPH NY and is somewhat dismayed that he had to miss the first one since they started. When I told him that only WorriedGuy has now made them all, he said to tell Jeff, "be careful".
He promises to call again soon with further personal updates.

Sonny, what wonderful news to wake up to on a dreary, rainy Saturday morning. So glad to hear that Goodlife is chugging along nicely, and is no pain.
When you next speak with him, please give him a bunch of hugs and kisses from The Empire State from Sephie & John. We look forward to shaking the man's hand in September.
