I am a DaVinci guy as well. I did have some discomfort for many months, but I didn't call it "pain". Mine was likely improved by the fact that I have been taking daily stool softeners for years at the suggestion of my colo-rectal guy after some previous surgery, and I continue to take them now.
So my first thought is that hard stools could cause discomfort, as the surgery area is literally at the wall of the rectum.
If you define it as "pain", I would be calling the surgeon Monday morning. Otherwise, check on it with him at your next visit.
