I am T3b (SVI, EPE, PIN present; margins, nodes negative) Gleason 8 with tertiary 5. I had surgery in 2011, started adjuvant ADT and RT in 2011/12, completed RT in March 2012, last Lupron shot was in June 2012.
PSA post surgery 0.030. During the last 2 years PSA was consistently at 0.003. As my last Lupron shot has worn off in September 2012, I assume I am not protected by ADT for the past 8 months. My T level dropped to 5 after starting ADT and increased to 486 in this month.
My question : Is there a direct relation between T level and PSA? In other words, when T level increases does this give rise to PSA increase immediately? How comforting is it to have undetectable PSA with high T level in the absence of ADT?
