Davidg. The lung mets are what Kaiser tried to use as an excuse to deny Provenge to me. It seems to be working well. Time will tell. Sunday is my 1 year anniversary of my last provenge infusion. Todd

Davidg a gentle correction, todd1963 has Pca in his lungs, not lung cancer , just like there is a disease called bone cancer, which is different from Pca that has metastasized to the bone. Breast cancer metatazied to the lungs is breast cancer not lung cancer. Lung cancer spread to the prostate, not gonna happen , but to illustrate is lung cancer not Pca. They look different under microscope and respond
to treatment differently. Pca cancer spread to lungs will respond to HT. Lung cancer will not, would that it could. Logo PS I hope Im right on this analysis, believe so . some one holla if not. if my analysis is correct and some lolo at Kaiser tried to deny you, he probably thought what Davidg did, was corrected up the food change. and viola, accepted. Thanks logo. My mum doesn't have PCa, although I wouldn't be surprised if these Italian docs say it's a possibility :) She has lung to bones and theoretically starts chemo next week. I'm just looking for a silve rlining and was basically wondering if Provenge is effective for her.

Thanks for sharing your story Todd. A story I think gets lost in all the trials, studies and tests.
We all should be more mindful of the human side of this disease, and get to know the person and what their dreams are.

Davidg, I for some reason thought she had BC. I understand your question about lung cancer now, which now brings up the question, for me,if Provenge has been considered or tried for other cancers, since it works on our immune system, which I believe will be the big break thru in all cancer treatment some day, i.e. drugs that cause our immune system to do its job completely, rather than drugs to eradicate the cancer. hey whatever works. Any new info on your Mom's condition?

Sadly my contact at Dendreon lost her mother to Bca in March. Provenge is engineered specifically for Pca. It was very difficult for my frieend to lose her mom while knowing she was doing so much to help men. Ipilumab for bca. check it out. I may be incorrect.
