Continuing to have intestinal issues

I am thrilled with my recent PC test results. I am ready to return to enjoying life with the elephant in the room on vacation.

I don't know if it is the HT (probably not since I have had some problems in this area before).

Let's just say things are not moving as they should. This has been going on for a month and worsening. Yes yes you can throw out the jokes and wisecracks, but this is quite severe and miserable. So far, nothing is working, and I've tried assorted things.

Thoughts of ER go thru my head. Hopefully that won't happen.

You stated that nothing is working.... Can you be much more specific about the "nothingS" you've tried?

I've had intestinal issues before. It's absolutely maddening and can cause havoc in professional/social life. My problems always resulted from getting parasites each and every single time I went to India. Didn't matter how careful I was (brushing my teeth with bottled water).

My relief came from finally finding a top notch stomach doc who knew what pills to give me.

I was gonna say Mirilax as that's what Im on because of the Oxycodone causes constipation and it works OK....My doc told me prune juice but that stuff is too nasty.

i know this is stupid, but have you tried a big Indian meal? Those curries are deadly.

see a doctor, Have you ever had a colonoscopy. Not to scare, but it may be prudent. Mel its ok, really, get it checked out, if you haven't

Mel, Lynn was on Oxycodone, Oxycontin and other forms of increasing dosage pain meds for the entire 6.5 years of fighting her cancer.

The one thing that worked for her, the entire time, was Senakot S. She tried others but always returned to this one. I think I must have thrown out a years supply when she was gone.

It is available at the local drug store, is not expensive and you know fairly quickly if it will work for you.

..You must be strict with your diet, I mean religious like. Hot cereal like oatmeal, wheatena or farina and there are others with fruit cooked and honey in it, yogurt on the side with granola, some days eggs with potato no bread or meat. Make protein drinks with soy milk nuts and frozen fruit mixed in blender. Vegetables, brown rice and legumes with small amounts of fish or chix. Home made soups and Salads with olive oil. Supplements like vitamin E, C ( powdered crystal vit C at 10,000 mg a day should get the stool soft) some sort of fish oil cod or salmon Omega, B complex, calcium, aloe drinks, green tea ect. Cut out dairy as much as you can some is ok, no breads, no pasta, no white rice. Drink plenty of water. You can always add stuff back in slowly as time goes bye. You can do it!!

..this is my opinion on nutrition and my experience, I do study a bit but I am not a professional. Health food stores are a great place for information and supplies..
