In real life I am quiet and shy until I get to know someone. The word people use to describe me is sensitive - not that I am easily offended but I am sensitive to people's needs, etc. I usually don't talk unless I have something worthwhile to say and I don't post unless I feel I have something to contribute. The thing that makes me happiest about my participation in this forum is when a member emails me to ask a question about a post I have made. Then I feel as though I have helped someone.
Although in real life I have an opinion about everything, I am self-censoring on this forum. While I read them with interest, I don't post on contentious threads. I don't like to argue with strangers on the internet. Because this is primarily a male forum, I don't pour out my heart here about more female issues regarding PCa.
I am very analytical which is why I am always trying to gain insight into the issues surrounding PCa and HW has facilitated that. This forum has also shown me the male point of view on certain topics, which has helped in understanding my husband.
