 The Cincinnati Reds are playing the Milwaukee Brewers. All of the players and umps are wearing light blue wrist bands and ribbons. Numerous announcements about Pc research and testing.

  Good to see Prostate Cancer Research in the spotlight.

I believe MLB has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars. Exciting news, certainly more exciting than the game of baseball.

DavidG...shame on you! Baseball is America's game. Some times it may not have the most action, but then you have to appreciate a pitchers dual or possible the chance of a no hitter or perfect game and I've seen both.
I was at the Red's game on Friday and I thought I saw the same thing with the wrist bands but then again, it could have just been the beers!!!

I've been to a few baseball games live and I agree that while at the game live one experiences pure theater, pure Americana.

But it's not the game for me. My American friends always made fun of soccer to tease me, putting down the game because sometimes fans are killed. I always reply that the boredom frombaseball can also be a killer :)

Was at a confernece in San Diego a few years ago, was having dinner in that lovely gas lamp (gas light?) district and happened to literally walk into Petco field and wound up watching a Padres game. Had a great time. Same thing happened to me in Toronto but didn't have as a good a time.

I don't even have a team in Baseball. For some reason I lean towards the Chicago Cubs and LA Dodgers.

It's a tough sport for someone who didn't grow up in this country to fall in love with.

In the California Angels game yesterday, Eric Aybar homered,which meant another 20,000 donation to the Cancer fund!Every homer this weekend MLB will contribute 20,000! Yea Baseball. Personal good news from CTCA,Goodyear, my PSA and other "markers" dropped again, Doctors are using the term"remission" for the first time on me! More home runs coming for everyone!Feeling good, less bone pain, no drugs.

I'm very glad to see that MLB is doing something. I think other pro leagues should step up as well. Yesterday, the Tigers hit 3 homers and raised $60,000. yeah I was thinking $60K, that's enough for one surgery. Not sure if this is just a "Fathers Day" thing but it would be cool if they did it for a whole month.
