Pass Out traces of dull red blood in Urine after Using Levitra for the First Time

Our urologist has given us samples of Levitra 10mg for trial. We tried it today, the erection come within 25 min and it stayed hard for a while even after its mission has been accomplished. My husband said he has a little pain at the tip during the first penetration. He also felt a bit light headed.

The scary part is that when he pee'd afterwards, there are traces of dull red blood in the urine, but no pain. Waiting to see whether it is still the same when he pees again.

Anyone has similar experience or any hint on what has happened ? It's already a year after RP and more than half a year after radiation.

The urologist clinic is closed during weekend and we wonder whether we need to go to ER. We will definitely call the urologist clinic on Monday.

Stop using vardenafil and call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

Odds he's OK... But I'd call the URO's office thinking they have someone on weekend call duty.

The urine becomes clear again when he pees for the third time.

He seems OK now , except feeling a bit tired.

We will call the urologist on Monday to see whether he needs to go for a checkup.

His mild ED issues only started after the radiation has completed. It's getting better each day, and I think he will soon be back to pre-radiation / pre-rrp condition even without any med.

After today's episode, I prefer him to be patient rather than using med.

My guess is that the blood is most likely from some scar tissue sloughing off when things got moving down there. I know I had some blood in urine and at orgasm after radiation, and my RO told me it would go away -- it did.

The light-headedness is a common SE with ED meds. They can lower blood pressure, which is why they aren't prescribed along with some BP meds. Usually it comes on with a sudden change in position, so he should get up slowly. Eventually the body accommodates and it becomes less of an issue.

Even though these SEs you describe are common, it's always a good idea to let your Uro know. I didn't want you to worry.

Thanks, Allen. Yes, it is the first time, Mr. Big became so big after the radiation has completed.

After a good night sleep, he is back to normal. Will wait and see what the uro have to say tomorrow.

You should also ask about dose. It's possible a smaller dose (cut in half) might be just as effective with few side effects. My radiation completed 18 months ago and the ED just started about 4 months ago. Sometimes things work without the pills but most often I just just a small, 5mg and it gets things working just fine.

It's probably a radiation burn on the bladder, same thing happened to me at about the same time. It comes and goes, your Uro may want to do a cystoscopy to see what's what.
