Great big whewwww... Met with my uro today at 1:00. Nurse took some blood and the waiting began. Doc came by to chat....we sat and BS'd for an hour. His PA stuck his head in the door and announced "non detect"! Man that felt good to hear. T level - 600. libido still almost non existant.....i know....I'm officially weird. anyway, will check again in 3 months.

Okay, that was huge news for me. Now here's the equally huge news.

Ever since I found out I was a G9 and learned what that meant, I have always felt that it was never a matter of IF, but only WHEN I have a BCF. I shared this concern with my doc today. He looked at me somewhat strangely, and said..."David, if ever there was a fellow with your stats that might achieve a cure, it's going to be you". You are well over a year since the last Lupron shot, your t level is back to normal, and your still showing non-detect. That is all great news.
I said....whoa doc, I'm a numbers guy. Gimme a %. He stalled. So I said, "let me make it easier.....> or < 50% ? His response was, oh definitely > 50%, as long as you understand the unknowns. No problem with that.....the unknown is all I've had for three years now.

So, for all you Gleason 8,9,& 10 guys, there is hope, and never forget that.

Now having said all that I have to also say that I feel very blessed and give all the credit to my Lord.

Kbota -- I am so happy for you.  I have a lot of respect for guys like you, JNF, southerncomfort etc etc. who  maximize their chances for a cure despite the short term misery we have to endure.  bravo man cool !

Kabota I got to say when I got the new I just had to hear you voice with the excitement. I do not need to say both Pat and I are so excited for both you and the Mrs. Now when we get back from Rochester we need a camping weekend. Start checking you calender Oct 11th weekend. We have a spot in Breaux Bridge booked for us.. Join us.

Then we can really celebrate.

This news is absolutely fantastic to hear. David I am so happy for you guys. Now if we could just pry you away from your place and get you to come to NY it would be complete.

David, great news and I know that Mrs. Kabota has to be so very happy too as she has worried about you so much. No Lupron and T levels back to normal, maybe that implant will work again! The first round is on you tonight my friend.

Just got off the phone with Sonny3 who referenced your post. I've been traveling the past few months and not very active on HealingWell.

Very encouraging for a fellow Gleason 9 (4+5) who just had his second 4-month Lupron shot on August 1st when I became Medicare eligible.

about to add Xgeva as preventative measure for bone loss and spinal compressions. Bone density test came back normal.

Congrats, and here's hoping continued zeroes for you and that I keep trending that direction.
