Provenge Journey: Stage Four . . .

I had my infusion on the 26th. everything went smooth except I forgot to bring my picture ID, man are they sensitive about that. The catheter sure makes the process painless as they simply screw into one of the lines and let 'er drip. The premeds, benedryl and Tylenol, were great palliatives so I took them even though I do have liver issues, Hep C. I didn't have a single SE during or after the process so I would advise anyone going through this to take their meds . . . Q

Hi Quincy. congrats on the first infusion. I hope it does as.advertised and kicks the crap to the curb. It is, imho the first step in any successful hrpca treatment plan. I love the fact that I had zero side effects and it stopped progression for 14 blissful months. I am on zytiga now. It is lupron on steroids for a month or so but I have adjusted to the side effecs and am tolerating it well.

That is exciting news and should give you some pretty good confidence that your next two infusions of the product will go just as smooth as number 1 did. Like Todd1963, I hope the bioengineered protein does as it was designed to do. Time will tell but if it gave Todd 14 blisful months with his stats, it hopefully will give you even more time.

I am at a cancer retreat called EpicExperience and will give you a call next week to report and share with you the wonderful experiences we are having. There are 10 of us with different types of cancer and different stages. There are four of us that are Stage 4 and two of those 4 are late stage 4 with probably months left in their journey. Amazing courage and insight that has been shared so far.
