Spouse here. All went well. Up walking every hour, but no relief from gas yet. Thanks for encouragement.

Thanks for the update. Tell Coasting13 that his "new brothers" on Healing Well welcome him to the "other side" of recovery and hope he has an easy go of it in the coming days.

Next step, walk, water, walk, water, etc,

After that, 1st BM, be sure he has stool softeners to make it easy on himself. That will be in a few days. Keep us up to speed on his progress.

Walking is good. Often, but not too much at one time.

Thanks for all the supportive comments. Hubby is improving every day. He does have to take the medication for bladder spasms and a pain pill here and there. First BM, no problem. His surgery was last Wednesday and we are to go in for X-ray and possible catheter removal in the morning. Seems very early on by what I have read here. I know he will be disappointed if it doesn't happen. He is drinking water and walking .
