3D gives me a headache, too.
I cannot believe that you think prices for TV's are going up, given what you get.
My actual prices have been the same, about $500-$650.
I now have a 42" screen (panasonic) that would have cost $1500 years ago.
David-- I think you are overpaying for your TVs. Do you buy the newest technology/screen size when it comes out? That would explain your high cost.
For me, ditto with computers. I have a very powerful Toshiba W7 laptop that cost about $350 about 18 months ago. My first computer was a 16K Commodore Pet. It cost $495, probably 30 years ago. (Like Purg, I have saved that computer; it still works). $495 30 years ago was a small fortune.
I do get the sense that Apple products remain high-priced
