Sonny,
Sounds like you are doing what you said you would all along, when and if something showed up, you would deal with it then. I still fully agree with that logic. Your plan of action sounds first class and typically "Sonny" style. That is a compliment.
One thing that puzzles me, you have had more scans than I have during an almost equal amount of time, and you had some good scans at that. Are you saying that these positive nodes never showed up on any scans prior to this last one? Was it a case, where it had to be "x" amount of size to be picked up by the scan?
That is my doctor's approach with me, not advocating any treatment until something shows up, for the same reason, as trying to maintain my QOL for as long as possible, though as you know, mine QOL has been pretty beat up anyway.
I am definitely watching what you are doing very closely, because I never know if my next scan will finally pick up something. Hoping not, of course, but with a PSA so high, its only a question of time.
Wish you all the best. Least you still can have radiation as an option for treatment, that is definitely off the table for me, no matter where any future mets appear, so for me, they would have to have a plan "b" for any future treatment other than radiation. My doctor is totally opposed to any additional radiation for me, even spot radiation, feels the prior damage is too severe to push it any further with more radiation.
P.S. Peggy and I are hot to trot for you GFMPH this coming spring, pretty sure she will be able to get off the time, and I told her, I was coming this time, regardless.
