To the original question:

No, we would not.

Sometimes, being left with only one decision gives one the chance to review all options and all possible regrets that might accompany each decision.

When we had no choice but HT at first, so we used that time to research all options and any possible regrets.

It became regrets vs potential QOL possibilities.

So, no regrets here. Sometimes no choices give you time you otherwise might not have taken to view ALL options, whether available or not.

Truthfully, sometimes I cringe when I see a new member getting diagnosed and scheduled for surgery in two weeks, all on the same day.

MsWorryWart, I was diagnosed and scheduled for surgery on the same day. It was a bit nerve wrecking, but I used the four weeks prior to surgery to research the subject well, to seek a second opinion and to find a surgeon with "visual tactile" ability using the Da Vinci Robot.

Cancer is a killer but so is diabetes, heart disease and hypertension -- I have all of these on my score card. Having had PCa is just one of the things on life's journey and there are days when I reflect on how fortunate I am. I guess I'm now a "cancer survivor" - strange title!
