Hi guys
I just wanted to check in and let you know how the recovery has been going because you helped me with a couple of issues I had early on. First was after being totally continent after the catheter was removed I had and issue with continence during sleep that started about 10 days after removal. It only happened 3 times in about a 3 week period and hasn't been an issue for at least 6 weeks (still concerned but I think it's over). I believe it was because I was extremely tired on all those occasions and slept thru one of my at that pointe 4 trips to the bathroom during the night. I can now sleep thru the night without having to get up, this is better than before surgery. The second issue was urinating during arousal and when climaxing. The advice from you guys was spot on that it would most likely clear up with a little time and it did. Someone and I forget who explained the mechanics of what was going on and really put me at ease, as this was a side effect I wasn't aware of until it happened to me. Things in that department are back to pre surgery levels (just a little cleaner).
I had my 3 month post op appointment this morning and got the results of my psa from last week <.003 doc said that's as low as the lab can detect without doing the ultra sensitive (and I really don't want to start that).
So life is back pre dx life. I can't begin to tell you all how much I appreciate all you have done for me thru all of this. I did a lot of reading and research online but there is nothing that can replace talking to guys who have been thru it. Between my fantastic wife, excellent urologist and you guys this ordeal has been no harder than being a lions fan.
thanks, merry Christmas and bless you all
carl
