Angiolymphatic invasion

Went to Moffitt Cancer Center for consult with radiation oncologist since husband has been staged at PT3B. They requested all pathology reports/slides. I just talked with the doctor's nurse and asked her if the slides were read. She said yes and everything seemed to be the same as the original pathology report from the surgeon except she mentioned "lymphatic invasion." On my husband's original path report it states "angiolymphatic invasion: focal features suspicious for lymphatic invasion." I neglected to ask her if report stated "suspicious" so I have another call in to her for more details. Here's my question: if it is detected as lymphatic invasion (and no longer just suspicious), does this mean the cancer cells have invaded his blood system? Would this be considered metastatic? Husband's first post-op PSA came back as undetectable at 0.02 which we were feeling great about and the surgeon recommended not doing anything til a rise and then radiation with or without hormones. But where does lymphatic invasion put his status? I would assume this is incurable and it's a matter of time before mets start showing. Am I wrong?

My understanding of what that means is that the tumor had a path that it MIGHT have spread to the lymphatic system. Doesn't mean it did, but definitely bears watching for a recurrence.
