2 year check up

    Yesterday I went in for my 2 year checkup (1 month short of it)

The doc said I was doing fine my PSA was less than 0.1

    I am about 99% continent but still 100 % ED.

    I asked about my "nerve sparing surgery" I also told him I was hoping to have some results by now, but nothing. I told him about the 2 year mark they talk about. He said that the surgery is very difficult and if I don't have any positive results by now I probably never will.

    So now I have to face the facts:

        No Cancer !!!!

        99% Continent

        100% ED

        A lovely wife of 42 years!!!!!!

    I think I can live with that.

Wessy, that's a great 2-year report! I'm 3 months past my 2-year point; so, I can relate to your situation. The best thing is that, like me, you're still pulling "undetectable" on your PSA results. That is number one on the checklist we go through.

You're doing better than me on the incontinence - I'm only about 70% continent. Still wearing pads and completed pelvic floor rehab with only slight improvement. I'm able to deal with the incontinence only because I started using a a Cunningham clamp 3 months ago. I need to consult with my urologist about where I go from here.

Like you, I'm still have ED 100% (despite partial-nerving sparing) but am coping with it through use of trimix and a pump. Within the past 3-4 months, I've noticed I'm needing increasingly smaller doses of trimix to get the desired result (from 95 units down to 30 units); so improvement beyond the 2-year point is certainly possible. I don't know at which point the improvement will stop but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for almost complete recovery.
