Nevertheless, I know the goal of Dr. Lam (and I'm sure most others) is to turn it into a chronic illness.
We are playing for time. If we delay long enough, new medicines will help us delay things longer and then maybe there will be a cure.
I also know that at the Conference I attended, it has been mentioned that sometimes the right scan can still spot the PC and then the right tx. can actually knock it out. One hesitates to use the "cure" word, but that was the implication. In one case study, Prof. Kwon gave an example of someone who had surgery, then radiation, then a significant PSA, then the scan, then the tx (might have been more radiation or even a surgery) and then undetectable PSAs.
Cure? MAYBE.
Common? NOT AT ALL
