Guys,

I am still alive. I have been tied up with work and have not been around. The better half has been checking on things.

If you are using the Augusta Medical Systems Response II VED you probably noticed the three socket head cap screws that hold the vacuum pump head together are rusting and are discoloring the plastic housing. The rust stains any towel you use to clean it - not a pretty sight on a date night.
They are special screws of an oddball length so you can't buy them at a hardware store. Of course.

Well, have I got a deal for you!!! I recently got a supply of aerospace grade, stainless steel screws of the exact size and shape needed. They are easy to remove and replace as long as you do it one at a time. All you need is a small, 5/64 inch Allen wrench.

I will gladly put 3 in an envelope and send them to you - Free of charge! Just email me with a drop off address. No questions asked.
A quick brushing with a toothbrush and your VED will be gleaming again.

If any engineers from Augusta Medical are reading this: Come on guys! For the price you charge for these units you can afford to upgrade to better stuff. Geez! Most of the guys here use them in the shower. How can you use components that rust when they get wet?
Upgrade for Pete's sake.

Looking forward to seeing you and Barb at Sonny's where you do not have to attend to the host duties.

Not sure how understanding Sonya's neighbors are and whether you can bring any science experiments as entertainment.

You live in Georgia and have not taken the factory tour of Augusta Medical Systems?!?! You're killing me!!! I could not resist going! Imagine their QC department with rows of penis pumps all sucking away at silicone shafts.
I don't need any parts from them. The screws they use are perfectly functional except (IMO) they have poor cosmetic qualities. They rust.

I now have a pile of replacements that are not just plated. Nooo... that would be too easy. These are aero-grade stainless steel, capable of operation to well below -55F and above 500F and are virtually impossible to corrode.

I have way more than I need so I am offering them to others who have rusty VEDs. The screws are so specialized they are not likely to be used anywhere else on the planet. In space, maybe. ;-)

Perhaps AMS they would pay more attention to your suggestions if you pointed out the potential to step up their advertizing.

Made from non-magnetic, superior corrosion resistance stainless steel, these aren't just "Good screws" or "Better Screws".

These are Great Screws! And everyone here can appreciate that.

Update:
I got more of the screws in different lengths and will bring them with me to the GFMPH in Orlando next week.
If your VED is held together with rusty screws, bring it along.
We might get lucky.
