cmetalman - if golf is going to get a mention then I think "Finally in the Hole" might be appropriate.

Oncas - "... a Gleason score of a different ilk that probably few remember." Well, some of us do (being old enough, I guess). In fact the first time I ever heard the term "Gleason score" years ago, I think the name Jackie Gleason (who was indeed a funny comedian) popped into my mind. I was pretty sure, though, that he had had nothing to do with the PC scoring system.

Not so much a tombstone inscription, rather a simple but powerful poem by the 17th century English poet, Robert Herrick:
