Grandpa on Gold Rush

I am a big fan of Gold Rush. On the last show John Schnabel, Parker's Grandpa, was said to have cancer and made some negative comment about taking chemo.

I found on the internet that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013. He just turned 94 recently and Parker says:

My grandpa is doing well. He still has cancer but has responded well to the radiation and chemo therapy that he has been on and if you saw him you would never know he has an issue. We just celebrated his 94th birthday a few weeks ago and it was great. He has great spirits, friends and family. Thank you all for the kind words and prayers.

Hello Samham55,

The past few weeks, I too have been watching the Gold Rush.

Last week, I remember something about Parkers grandpa being sick but didn't hear the rest of the story.

Cancer: doesn't care who it hits, we just have to fight...fight...fight.

Just diagnosed at 93?!

I'll have what he's having. Whatever he's been eating!

I watch this also...even though sometimes I just shake my head...good escape from pc...until I watched the last episode and within the first 2 mins. he says he has PC...

I was surprised that he was talking chemo...strange..seeing that he was just diagnosed...

I think we need to get to him and explain some options. Who wants to write Discovery Channel a letter.
