Completed bone scan and Cat scan on Friday. Crisp and beautiful day here on the Lake (Texoma). Gonna comtemplate at the Throne of Uncle Jack (not over-indulge but not gonna under indulge either) when the sun is at its proper height, maybe just cruise in the boat and enjoy God's creation. Then I am gonna find "One Particular Harbor" and see if "Livingston's Gone To Texas" and just where "A1A" runs cause I am "God's Own Drunk and a Fearless Man." Going to find my fate at the Dr's office on Friday.

Thanks Dow, I needed that to help me get through this cold snowy day in Illinois. Can't wait til 5pm to start the celebration. Mrwampuscat turn 65 today!
I wasn't familiar with Lake Texoma so i googled it and found a picture of two guys holding a GIGANTIC catfish. Is that for real?

Walt all the best to you on Friday! Today put some "stink" bait on a pole and catch a 65# catfish; I've done it but was banned from my home in texas since the smell doesn't go away. Yeah, my wife has put up with me for 48 years. Hope that you have a life vest on and someone to drag you back in the boat--go easy on the "Jack".

Ms. wampuscat: Happy birthday to the Mr. And glad for the nudge I gave. The first round of Jack is on me. It's good for what ails the soul. There are some absolutely HUGE cats caught here. 2 years ago was on my slip when my boathouse neighbor's 12 year old son caught a 178# one.

gunfighter: going easy on the Jack, just enough to soothe my troubled mind. Rather just watch the glory of Mother Nature today.

hi walt,

 thanks for the post it's just nice to hear that it's nice outside (and 5 o'clock) somewhere. up here in Michigan we've had a brutal winter it just started getting nice about a week ago then this morning we wake up to another 3 in of snow setting a new season total of 94.8 in (yea). I had finally put the fishing boat in a couple of weeks ago (the channel had been clogged with flow ice from lake huron)and have been catching some walleye, but probably will not get the cruiser in for  at least another month.

 but your post has inspired me to go put on my carharts and go out to the boathouse sit in the boat and have a drink.

Carl, glad to been the source for some inspiration. Its a little cool here but I basically had the lake to myself except for a few fisherman. Texoma is a beautiful lake. Fell in love with her about the first time I was on her. I have a 30' cruiser and keep it in year round here. We get a fair number of days even in the winter where its nice to be on the boat. My soul needs it especially right now. Pretty darn sick and tired of waiting. Not in my nature.

hi again walt,

 mine is a 24ft walkaround with a cuddy. I googled lake texoma and I can see why you love it. but the biggest reason for my reply was your statement "My soul needs it especially right now" it struck a cord with me i've always felt the same way, being on the water is just good for the soul.  I got my dx early may last year when the doc explained my g6 the first thing I said was then I can put this off till fall, he told me again about AS and said I had all the time I needed. so I went ahead and got my summer in. (it was long enough for me to realize I'm not cut out for AS).

  hopefully things get better for you once you have your plan of attack.
