Sweating

I know there are medications for hot flashes (patches?).

I'm sure someone will be more specific.

Has your husband been on HT for a year or has he been off it for a year.

I have been off HT since the end of February and still have streaks of hot flashes. I've just noticed this week that they seem to be improving

In August I will have been on Zoladex for 4 years and still get hot flushes and also perspire with any exertion, obviously much more in summer but also in winter.
My clothes give the washing machine a good workout.
Because I already take a handfull of blood pressure medication everyday I don't want to add to the lot, also there is the problem of weight gain, I already have the weight problem from Zoladex. I just put up with the hot flush and perspiration. It is sometimes inconvenient but you get to work around it, have an extra shirt at work, try to not rush after showering if going out at night, have a cool shower, dress lightly, take a cardigan etc, avoid being near heaters in winter, all help.
At work in my office the air conditioning is set really cold, I get a few complaints ! At home it is a problem in winter because my wife feels the cold so I get around in shorts and tee shirt inside.
