Prostate cancer sometimes seems like a slow, impending doom that I just can't get out of my head, yet can't do much more about. For some reason this clip popped into my head today. PCa seems like the steamroller, and I just can't get out of its way.

Jerry L., that's a great metaphor. I love metaphors and similes, and my head's full of movie clips for some reason. Sometimes it seems like my brain is the movie-clip version of the Transformer's character "Bumblebee". He only speaks through audio clips on his car radio. My brain speaks in movie clips!

Very well said. I was just thinking that- yet again- a few minutes before reading this. Oh well, could be worse, right, and may well be. Waiting now for some news from my 39 yo old daughter in law who is at Mayo getting her stage 4 Mesothelioma checked out to see if we are doing all we can do. Nothing slow motion about that situation, so I guess I actually have a lot to celebrate re: my illness. I wish it felt like my wimpy self needed to celebrate!

BillyBob is right about it could be worse. I have a good friend who was just move to hospice with a brain tumor that was discovered last fall about the same time as my PC. I guess we have hang in there and do the best we can. Best wishes to all.
