Yep, he feels I may have bladder neck strictures. :-(

The "stream" has been getting slower and weaker since surgery.

I'm SO not looking forward to this. He did say he would sedate me, because he may have to do some urethra dilation.

When you take the beer down off the wall, pass it over to me. :-|

I had one this past March to prepare for my AUS surgery. It is very quick and not that bad at all. By now you should be used to pulling your pants down. That was the hardest part. The doctor gave me some shots to numb the area like a biopsy. The total time with the scope inserted was no more than 10 seconds, then I got dressed.

Just another humiliating moment in the life of PCa patient.

Yes a bump in the road, I've had 2 of these tests. I was so petrified for the first that I got really drunk the night before and had a horrible hangover.... a little numbing jelly no pain, but I had such a headache from the hangover who knows. Next one was easy without the hangover.

I had one Monday. A little pain but over quickly. Dr found my urethra almost entirely closed so we have scheduled a TURP. Not looking forward to that!

Been there, done that. It hurts, you'll live. I wouldn't suggest it as Friday night entertainment, but it beats a stopped up bladder.

I guess the good part is, the doc said I would be knocked out.

Not looking forward to the 3 day cath either. At least I know how that part is...lol

I get scoped every 3 months because I had a bladder tumor removed 18 month before I was diagnosed with PCa. They are scary and uncomfortable but not painful. They don't knock me out, they scope me after putting a gel into my urethra to numb it. Start to finish it takes maybe 2 minutes. You'll be fine.

Being sedated makes it completely worry and pain free. The sedation is fairly light so you are back to full alertness very quickly. And getting a strong flow back is fabulous.

I was taking 3 to 4 minutes for a pee - very inconvenient on the golf course when everyone is waiting for you to hit off. Since the dilation I am back to a minute a pee at most, and even now I am probably not back to the really full stream I had pre op.

The good old TURP rota-rooter job, make sure You understand this precedure! had one done 2 years ago and have had a numb cock ever since! Damages nerves!

He didn't mention a TURP, not sure he would do that since I no longer have a prostate.
He just talked about possible dilation at the bladder neck, and mentioned I may need a cath for a couple of days.
He's also going to investigate why I have a trace amount of blood in the urine.
