I think its of interest to a lot of men. Especially since in the recent past 90% of low-risk men have sought out aggressive treatments...
I agree with you that for us what's done is done...but what about the next brothers who show up tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day who are in shock from the "big 'C'" diagnosis of a tiny, minuscule amout of PC and want to rush into $100K proton therapy, or get under the robot as quickly as possible...
So how can guys like us who have learned the hard way add value to the newcomers? Can we help break the mentality of one-size-fits-all treatment? I hope we can have some constructive discussion on this. Can men like us, at sites like this, help reduce the epidemic levels of prostate cancer overtreatment? Or should we just sit on our hands with the knowledge and patient education we have gained through the school of hard knocks? I'd like some fresh ideas.
I was overtreated. I don't want to wish that on anyone else.
