I found a first post from a new member, Brother R, in an old thread and am giving him his own thread so folks can say hello.
In the old thread, Brother R said...
Hi, New to the thread but appreciate the shared info. I'm 55. My PSA went from 5.9 in February 2014 to 10 in June. Biopsy this past Monday - 12 cores no cancer. A relief, but still concerned.
Hello, Bro R, sorry you've got worries but glad you've found us.
Have you talked to your urologist about
other things that could explain your rising PSA? A prostate infection can do that. The most common way to diagnose that is to give the man antibiotics and then retest the PSA in a month or two. If the PSA returns to normal, or at least is heading in that direction, then you will have explained the PSA and can worry less about
it.
